Emma Leigh Gwin, Soprano, is an actress, musician, and teaching artist based in Roanoke, Virginia. Emma received her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from James Madison University in 2014 where she studied with Mezzo Soprano Dr. Carrie Stevens. After graduating from JMU, Emma attended George Mason University where she studied with world renowned Mezzo Soprano, Patricia Miller, and earned her Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance in the Spring of 2016. Emma has since performed professionally throughout the region, with credits including Laurey in Oklahoma! (Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre), Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady (Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre), Squirelle in Elephant & Piggie's We are in a Play! (Roanoke Children's Theatre), Angelina in Trial by Jury (The In Series), and as an Apprentice Artist with Opera Roanoke.
Emma currently works as an Actress and Teaching Artist with Mill Mountain Theatre.
